Choosing work-study to become an engineer: two pathways at TELECOM Nancy

Le Figaro Étudiant recently featured two of our students through two inspiring video portraits.

  • Thomas, a 3rd-year FISA student and apprentice at ArianeGroup
  • Lucille, a second-year FISEA student and apprentice at MGEN

Through their testimonies, they describe their daily lives between academic training and immersion in companies, the skills they develop and the professional opportunities that work-study programs offer them.

Two work-study engineering programs accessible after a two-year post-secondary degree in science.

TELECOM Nancy offers, in particular, two engineering courses accessible from a scientific Bac+2 level :

Generalist Computer Engineer – FISA

  • 3-year apprenticeship program

Cybersecurity Engineer – FISEA

  • 1 year under student status
  • Then 2 years of apprenticeship

These two pathways allow students to combine academic excellence, significant professional experience, and rapid integration into the job market.
