TELECOM Nancy’s cyber-security platform cited as a reference academic platform in the international book : ” Introduction to the Cyber-Ranges ” published in 2022 by Chappman & Hall / CRC Press, New York, USA.
As part of his specialization in cyber security, TELECOM Nancy has set up a leading technology platform composed of two practical work rooms (red team, blue team) with more than 50 workstations and a server room integrating a cyber-range (digital shooting ranges) of professional level developed by the company Diateam.
The latter makes it possible to build, deploy and experiment with realistic and complex IT infrastructures (corporate networks, industrial networks, Internet of Things), from which different attack and defense scenarios are simulated and analysed.
It is the only French cyber academic platform among those referenced in this international scientific work.
At the top of national and European challenges
Our students have achieved excellent results in several computer security competitions:
- In the top 5 out of more than 90 teams during the CentraleSupélec Intelligence and Analysis Tournament (TRACS) organized by ViaRézo and the DGSE ,
- In the top 5 out of more than thirty teams in the GreHack cybersecurity competition, organized by Sécurimag, at ENSIMAG,
- In the top 5 overall out of more than 500 teams in a national cybersecurity competition, organized by the Cyber Defense Command (COMCYBER), under the authority of the Chief of Defense Staff,
- In the top 3 out of more than sixty international teams (professional and student), qualifying for the European CTF (Capture The Flag) “Cube Apocalypse” organized by the University of the German Federal Armed Forces (Munich, Germany),
- In the top 5 out of more than 300 student teams during the DG’Hack challenge organized by the General Directorate of Armaments (DGA).
Cybersecurity at TELECOM Nancy
TELECOM Nancy trains engineers in computer science and digital sciences in three years and offers a specialization in cyber-security entitled ” Internet Systems and Security “.
The school is a member of the CONCORDIA European consortium of excellence in cyber-security and of the European cyber-security skills alliance Erasmus+ REWIRE, and participates in the cyber-reservist center in collaboration with the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technological equipment including a professional cyber-range and supported by the expertise of its teacher-researchers and its partner companies, TELECOM Nancy now offers a unique cyber-security training offer in the Grand Est and responds to a critical need: the global shortage of cybersecurity experts.
